Ellendale Bears Youth Sports

We will have 3 positions open for the Ellendale Board of Directors this year. Nominations are due by 10/31. We will have nomination forms available at the concession stand this week. You can also email your nominations to info@ellendalebears.com. The 3 positions open this year are:

Area Director
Secretary
Treasurer

If you would like more information regarding these positions and their responsibilites, please email us or ask a current board member. The election will be held during our Year end Banquet in December.

This week is our 2009 Homecoming vs Arlington. Friday night we will have our Homecoming Court activities from 7-9 pm. Saturday we will have games at the regular games times. We will also have activities for the kids all day. These will include moon bounces, face painting and silent auction.Wristbands for the moon bounces are available at the concession stand for $5.

After the last game of the day we will have a Coaches flag football game, followed by a Free BBQ dinner for all parents and children.

Each team is being asked to bring the following items for the dinner:

Bantams- 12 pack of drinks
Peewee- Buns
Juniors- Plates, forks, napkins
Seniors- Desserts
Cheerleaders- Chips

Please bring these items to the stand no later than Friday night. We look forward to a fun weekend at Ellendale- the weather looks to be great!!

Bantam, Juniors and Senior Practice is cancelled tonight. These teams will practice Thursday and Friday - 2 hours in pads.

Peewee practice is NOT cancelled for tonight.

We will have a short parent meeting tonight at the concession stand. Topics to be discussed are the Tipton County Game times for Sat. 10/17. We will start games @ 3:00. Playing order is Bantam, Peewee, Junior, Senior. We will also discuss Homecoming which is scheduled for Sat 10/24

SYS in partnership with the Memphis Grizzlies are going to have a SYS Sports night at FedEx Forum. Each area within SYS is to sell at least 39 tickets to this game. The top 2 kids (1 boy, 1 girl) will recieve courtside seats for this game!! This fundraiser will help SYS raise funds for the upcoming 2010 Seasons. It will also allow SYS to use some of the FedEx Forum facilities for Cheer-off and end of year banquets. Click here to view and print the order form.
