 I am writing this today with a saddened heart to let those of you who may not know that a former player for us Michael Howse passed away Monday Sept 7 at 2:26 p.m.  Michael's last year to play for Ellendale was in 2007, but he and his family have supported us the last two years.  His dad Michael Sr. was actually helping Coach Johnnie this year!  Michael Jr. played football for White Station Middle School the last two years as their starting tailback.  Michael was a great person inside and out, as was a hell of an athlete.  He tried soooo hard at everything he was involved with!!  He was 13 years old which is way too young to have left us!!  Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers, as the next couple of days will be extremely tough!  As of right now his parents and sister seem to be holding up pretty well because they have such an amazing faith!!!  I say it often and even in the midst of tragedy GOD IS GOOD!  We may not know why this side of Heaven, but we have to believe that God needed Michael more than we needed him.  He will forever be in the hearts of those who loved him!

We will update everyone as soon as possible regarding arrangements
